Ceramic N64 Stick

I ve been tempted to acquire a sealed in box n64 controller in order to replicate the stick assembly in steel or tungsten carbide.
Ceramic n64 stick. If i get enough interest maybe i ll make a video showing how to correctly grease the base of the n64 analog stick although you gotta have a little bit of your own talent to open and close the n64 controller properly. It comes in a very small tube so it s not a great value but i have had it in my main n64 joystick for at least a year and played through a bunch of long games on it dk64 goldeneye diddy kong racing etc and it still feels very smooth. Why you so foolishly ask. Using ceramic grease on them will keep them that way.
I have used tamiya ceramic grease that you can get on ebay. I m using an original n64 controller which the analog stick has already been worn in over the years so it is looser than normal but it s still too stiff for me. I ve read using ceramic oil may help is this true. Use ceramic grease which actually employs nanoparticles to reduce friction.

Enkko is going to be reproducing the stick and bowl so that n64 fans can fairly easily restore their controllers. If it does then it s worth taking it apart and lubricating the base of the stick and the parts it comes in contact with.
If you own a grease gun getting a cartridge of the ones i named is a good idea for grease fittings on cars i use that stuff on forklifts and other industrial equipment. Also folks if you shell out the cash for a new oem controller dont forget to lube the thumbstick with ceramic grease. Dab of ceramic grease and it should be good to go for a century. The most important thing is that the analog stick works well.
Analog stick cap doesn t feel like a n64 stick. Using ceramic grease will make the analog sticks in your n64 controllers last a lot longer. Im sure people can find suitable replacements. Is there anything i can do to loosen it.
